Stay with us at Ghyll Farm B & B to escape the busy pace of modern life and get closer to nature without the crowds, even in high season. Spend time in Ennerdale, the last wilderness valley in England, where both the Galloway cattle and the river Lisa roam freely through the forest. You can cycle the valley with its spectacular views or simply enjoy a walk along one of the waymarked trails.
Awake to the peace and quiet of the countryside having spent the night snuggled in luxury cotton linen on our quality air-sprung beds. After your freshly prepared breakfast, which will be cooked to order with locally sourced ingredients, you can explore the unspoilt western lakes, hike the lakeland fells or walk for miles on unspoilt beaches.
Just over a mile and a half from the village of Ennerdale Bridge, deep in the heart of Ennerdale the B & B has easy access to Alfred Wainwrights Coast to Coast and other walking routes. We are at the end of a private single-track road with no through traffic, surrounded by fields and grazing sheep from the neighbouring working farms. With no light polution we have outstanding night skies.
